As the New Year approaches, many people start thinking about their fitness goals. But how do you set goals that you can actually achieve? Here are three steps to help you get started:
1. Assess your current fitness level.
Before you can set any specific goals, it’s important to assess your current fitness level. This will help you determine what you’re capable of and what you need to work on. There are a number of ways to assess your fitness level, including talking to your doctor, or taking a fitness assessment with one of our certified fitness specialists. We can help you discover your starting point which is essential to helping you determine your fitness goals.
2. Create a plan.
Once you have set your goals, you need to create a plan for how you will achieve them. This plan should include specific steps that you will take, as well as a timeline for when you will complete them. Our personal trainers and fitness specialists can assist you with creating a personalized fitness plan based on your unique needs. Plus, our center has specialized programming to support your activity levels and provide guided fitness.
3. Find a workout routine you enjoy.
It’s important to find a workout routine that you actually enjoy. There are many different types of workouts to choose from, and the center features a variety of land and aquatic group exercise classes. Once you find a workout routine that you enjoy, make sure to schedule time for it in your day.
By following these three steps, you can set yourself up for success in achieving your fitness goals for 2024. Remember, it is important to be patient and consistent with your efforts. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results immediately. Just keep at it and you will eventually reach your goals.
