Personal Training

Our Individual Personal Training program is designed to help you achieve your fitness goals by working one-on-one with a certified personal trainer for 60 minutes. Your trainer will work with you to develop a personalized exercise program. Packages available for purchase.

Group Training

A personal trainer will work with up to three people for 60 minutes who want to be trained together. The cost of the session will be divided between the number of people being trained. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to any scheduled group session will be charged for the session. Packages available for purchase.

West Wood Health & Fitness invites you to take advantage of our Pilates Training Studios located on the third floor. The Studios have Pilates equipment complete with the Cadillac Reformers, Wunda Chairs, and boxes. This equipment, along with apparatus, is used to complete the exercises Joseph Pilates developed over 80 years ago. Clients range in age from 16 to 85 years old. Men & women just like you who want stronger and leaner bodies will benefit from this training. In addition, tri-athletes, and post-rehabilitation patients can take advantage of this very exciting form of movement. West Wood has the most educated and dynamic Pilates instructors in the area. Experience Pilates at West Wood for a fun, fabulous, and amazing method of training!

Private Pilates Introductory Package
We offer an introductory package of 3 Sessions for you to work 1 on 1 with an instructor in the private Pilates Studio. This allows you to learn the equipment and interact with an instructor at your pace as you gain confidence in your new Pilates method.

Mat  Pilates Classes
West Wood offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced Mat Pilates in the Mind Body Studio. Classes run in 8 week sessions, six times a year. Class space is limited to 16 participants.

Private Pilates Equipment Training
Private 1 on 1 or Duet (1 on 2)  training is available in packages of 1-hour slots for 5, 10, or 20 sessions. These sessions take place in the private Pilates Studio. Scheduling is available 7 days a week. Morning, noon, and night slots available.

Group Pilates Equipment Training
It’s a group, but it feels as intimate as a Semi Private training! Enjoy group classes on our new Deluxe Reformers and MVe Chairs. Classes run in 8 week sessions for up to 4 people in the Mind Body Studio. You also have the choice to form your own group of 3 or 4 people where you can buy packages of 5, 10, or 20 sessions.

Yoga Training

Packages of 60-minute sessions for both members and non-members are available for purchase.

Private Yoga Training
Take your yoga practice to a new level, complement your current workouts, or learn more about yoga before you join a group class with individual one-hour yoga training sessions. Learn yoga basics, or challenge yourself further. If handstands are your goal, we can work on it. Your instructor will meet with you in the Mind Body Studio to evaluate your current strength and flexibility, and create a yoga practice just for you. Yoga can help stretch and strengthen muscles that are tight or weak due to a lifetime of sports-specific training, injury, or repetitive movements within your job or everyday life. Yoga can challenge and improve balance and calm a busy mind.

Duet Yoga Training
The West Wood Mind Body Studio is your venue for amazing duet yoga training. Share the fun with a friend! Our yoga instructors are great at running fun, challenging duet yoga sessions.

Beyond Therapy Training

For members and non-members*, Beyond Therapy is a six-week customized exercise program designed to address the needs of those who are interested in continuing the process of healing after injury or illness, have a medical condition such as diabetes or heart disease, or need guidance for weight management. This program also transitions the discharged physical therapy patient into a real-world setting by taking advantage of the skills and expertise of a professional personal trainer and making accessible the equipment of the top fitness facility in our region. Whether the need is weight loss, range of motion, or improved strength and function, goals will be set and a customized program will be designed specifically for you under the supervision of a dedicated personal trainer.

Based on a six week program, participants will have five appointments booked. Actual trainer time will be approximately 50 minutes each appointment. Trainers may recommend a second round of programming based on goal expectations and degree of progression.

Aquatic Training

The water provides low impact workouts. The water also supports a majority of your body weight which in return reduces stress on joints, bones and muscles. Training in the water will also improve flexibility, build your strength and enhance your cardio. Packages of 60-minute sessions available for purchase.

Maximize your time by incorporating both strength and cardiovascular circuits using our multi-purpose Synergy and Connexus multi-functional training units.

Using battle ropes, kettle bells, medicine balls, TRX straps, resistance bands and many other innovative training techniques, you can expect a full body workout suited for all ages and abilities.
