Nutrition & Diet

How should I eat as I get older?  Does my diet impact how successful my workouts will be?  Good nutrition is important for health and wellness.  In addition, changes in diet and nutrition can have positive benefits for preventing many diseases and disorders.

Reasons to consult with a dietitian include:

  • Weight problems
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Elevated cholesterol
  • Family history of heart disease
  • Eating well for optimum health
  • Celiac disease

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is another word for hypnotism.  Under hypnosis, a client moves into a state of mind where he/she becomes highly responsive to receiving positive ideas and suggestions.  There are many areas where hypnotism can be successfully applied such as weight reduction, smoking cessation, preparing for surgery and dental procedures, reducing stress of medical conditions, managing pain and discomfort, facilitating sleep, improving concentration and learning, as well as enhancing job and athletic performance.  It is a wonderful complement and support to traditional medicine and therapies, dentistry, chiropractic, acupuncture, health and fitness routines and alternative therapies.

Patti LawnPatricia Lawn, CH, CSW
Hypnotherapy is offered by Patricia Lawn, CH, CSW, who is a certified hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists, a member of the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, and a certified social worker through the State of Wisconsin.  She has more than 30 years experience in the social services profession.

"True freedom comes from within. The human mind is the greatest untapped power in the world today. Old patterns, habits and lifestyles need not get in the way of achieving dreams and goals. By utilizing the powers of the mind, self-confidence, self-control and determination are enhanced. Then there is the freedom and composure to use one's abilities and skills already inherent."
